What you need to know
The United Steelworkers have begun a campaign to unionize Greenhills employees. All employees have the right to a free and informed choice so it’s important that everyone at Greenhills has all the facts.
On this site we will be posting factual, valuable information and resources.
In B.C., signing a union membership card now amounts to a vote in favour of unionizing.
This is because the B.C. Labour Relations Code was amended in 2022 and now states that if 55% or more of the employees sign a union membership card, the union is automatically certified without a vote being conducted.
To learn more about the union certification process visit the B.C. Labour Relations Board at www.lrb.bc.ca/certification-process
